Lürssen – Yachts beyond any imagination

The Lürssen shipyard is a family business in the 4th generation. Since 130 years more than 3000 boats, ships and yachts have been built. This experience in shipbuilding creates the basis for their success of today, which is reflected by its current positive order book.

The shipyard is divided into three business fields. The first one is the building of naval vessels and special ships, like fast patrol boats, corvettes, support vessels, etc. The second area is the building of luxury super yachts starting from 50 metres to over 150 metres, realizing nearly every design beyond any imagination. The third field is called Lürssen Logistic and concentrates on all logistical parts of the group, e.g. repair and maintenance, yacht management, spare part documentation, crew training centre and training simulators.

Lürssen has earned its reputation world-wide for its high-class tailor-made super yachts. The combination of constant innovation over the last 130 years, the high quality of the work, the dedicated work force, its discretion, and especially the close interaction with the client are highly valued by its customers.

To realize the special demands of their clients, the shipyard works together with cutting-edge designers from all over the world. They co-operate with Lürssen’s own staff of more than two hundred naval architects and engineers in order to seek creative options and design solutions with regard to the highest quality and highest technical standards.

The high technical achievement can be constantly maintained because of Lürssens long-term experience in developing and building naval vessels, special ships and fast patrol boats. The yard is able to fulfil almost any requirements the client may have.

In addition to the new construction of yachts Lürssen is a reliable partner for refit and repair. They service existing vessels with superior repair and maintenance capabilities. For vessels in remote locations a specially trained mobile service group can effect a Lürssen quality technical repair anywhere. From major renovations to onsite restorations to year-round services which keep a vessel operating at its best, Lürssen’s team of experts are at the ready for its clients.
