Feadship has released more information about the 83.50-metre Sea Foam metallic green superyacht that was launched on Sunday. The yacht, Savannah, is the first eco-friendly blend of single diesel engine, three gensets, batteries, propeller, and azimuting pioneering electro-mechanical propulsion platform. Heesen launches superyacht Asya

On December 12th Heesen Yachts launched project YN 16947, a 47 metre displacement yacht. During a private ceremony, her owners christened her Asya. The 35 metre classic superyacht Freemont was seen here in Viareggio in the spring of 2014. The yacht was built by Benetti in Viareggio 22 years ago. The steel hulled yacht was the 16th largest yacht delivered in that year. If she had been delivered in 2014, she would have been the 99th largest yacht of the year, which goes to show how much the average yacht has grown in size. Read More

A fire has destroyed the 42.60 metre superyacht Lubenico, some 4-5 km from Culaba, Biliran, at sea between Samar and Culaba in The Philippines. Local reports state that there were 9 crew members on board the vessel at the time of the incident, who have all made it off the vessel safely. Read More

Late 2012, one of the best known classic superyachts in the world, the 35 metre Sylviana (ex; ​Ragazza, Hiba, Aruba II) built by CRN Ancona in 1979, changed hands, and was aquired by Sylviana Yachting Ltd., a private family held company. The new owners have commisioned Dutch superyacht designer Guido de Groot to redesign the yacht.

Profit before tax for the year ended 31 December 2013 was £17.9 million (compared to £18.4 million in 2012) on turnover of £239.4 million (compared to £249.9 million in 2012).
