Fire under control at Benetti yard in Livorno

Benetti has announced that at 10.30am this morning, a fire broke out inside the shipyard in Livorno. The fire has damaged the construction of a superyacht under construction. The yard has not yet released details which vessel has been damaged.The yard's own security team, and a local fire-fighting team responded quickly to the emergency, and worked together according to applicable regulations to put out the fire. After a yearlong, comprehensive refit, superyacht Stoneface left Front Street Shipyard on the final day of 2012. The refit team tackled Stoneface from bow to stern, replacing almost all of her systems, such as her main engines.
