This week we updated our list of yachts under construction, with the addition of 19 yachts, including seven Palmer Johnson's. The highly popular 120 series will see the launch of the ninth vessel in 2009. Palmer Johnson recently announced plans to open up a new yard in the United Kingdom. The new yard will be capable of building superyachts up to 100m. Read More

Two new completed yachts which are rarely seen are Amazon and Yia Sou!. The 36m Amazon was built by Day Summers in 1885, making her the oldest yacht in our database, to a design by Dixon Kemp. The yacht has spend most of her life in Scotland, but on this recent photos she was seen at the Sliema Creek in Malta. Read More

Alamshar, the 50m secretive high speed yacht named after a racehorse, has not been delivered yet. Construction started years ago but due to technical problems and changes the delivery has been delayed. German photographer Alexander Otto took photos of several superstructure parts in the port of Bremerhaven last week. When you take a close look at the photos, you will notice this must be a very special yacht. The most interesting feature visible is the huge wing over the full beam on the upper aft deck. Read More
