In late 2005 Yay Gemi Yapim was established in Kocaeli, Turkey. Their aim is to be one of the main players in the construction of large yachts and shortly after the company was established they signed a contract for a 65 metre superyacht, Nourah of Riyad.
Both the interior and exterior of Nourah of Riyad are designed by Donald Starkey and the engineers of Yay Gemi Yapim are providing all technical drawings. She will have a steel hull with aluminium superstructure and she is build to American Bureau of Shipping and MCA rules.
Twin 3150HP Caterpillar diesels enable the yacht to achieve a top speed of 19 knots and a cruise speed of 16.5 knots. Enough fuel is carried onboard to provide a range in excess of 5000nm.
Nourah of Riyad is scheduled to launch in April of this year and most likely her Arabian owner will base the yacht, like his previous 43m CRN, in Port Pierre Canto of Cannes.
