Slob Scheepsbouw launches the hull of Feadship Project 679

The hull of Feadship de Vries project 679, was recently launched by subcontractor Slob in Papendrecht. Project 679 measures 55.05 meters, and is due for completion in 2010. Today she will be transported through Hollands narrow waterways, towards Aalmeer, where she will be finished. Her exterior lines are designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, and she will have an interior by Remi Tessier, a first for Feadship.
These are busy times for De Vries, Last tuesday, the yard in Aalsmeer launched another De Voogt design, Hurricane Run. As with Hurricane Run, the owner of project 679 is represented by Camper & Nicholsons International.
Scheepswerf Slob was founded in 1947 and have produced a great number of hulls for Feadship, as well as for other yards. Since 2002 they are owned by Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw.
