In May Merijn visited several shipyards in Greece, and during one of the visits he spotted two large hulls, until then unknown to us. Investigating these hulls, we discovered they were built and delivered by MegaTechnica, based in the Perama Shiprepair Zone. Hulls 163.10, named Azul, and 164.10 of the Cosmo Explorer series were delivered to their owners in April and October, and are now in outfitting yards for final completion.

The yard consists of about 600m2 of covered space, which includes modern tools and utilities such as electronic CNC pantograph, cold forming press, plate guillotine, rolling machine, profile shaping press, pipe forming presses, for efficient and fast production.
MegaTechnica is accredited and certified with EN ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:1999 and Approved Welding Shop by Germanischer Lloyd and with welders certified by IACS Classification Societies for steel and aluminum constructions.
