Two Zeelander yachts were in Porto Cervo at the Boat International Regatta, as Zeelander continues a prestigious and head-turning summer season at the Mediterranean’s most exclusive sporting and social events. As official VIP hospitality and media boats, two Zeelanders have been amidst the regatta action around the Costa Smeralda coastline. 
Wahoo has opened the order books for its sensational new high-performance Barracuda. She is fitted with two super-charged Mercury Verados which deliver rapid acceleration and an estimated top speed of over 80 knots and a more sedate 50 knots cruising speed. The key to Barracuda’s performance lies in its hull design. 
At the end of May 2008 Alewijnse Marine Systems signed a contract with Amels Shipyard for the delivery and supply of the entire electrical installation on board several 171 ft Super Yachts. Next to the electrical installation, system integrator Alewijnse will also supply an integrated bridge system and entertainment system.

At the recent Dubai International Boat Show, New Zealand based Visual Studio ‘Urban Voyage’ provided demonstrations of its latest visual services named ‘Marine Deep Server’. The Urban Voyage Marine Deep Server is a cutting edge technology based around rapid prototyping tools designed for the Aerospace and Automotive industries. 
Nautica announces its new inflatable tube-mounted side door. The dive door is an opening in the side of the Nautica inflatable boat – right through its tube. Hinged so it opens downward into the water, the door becomes a ladder with 2 steps built into it. When closed, the perfectly sealed fiberglass door fits into fiberglass flanges built into the inflatable tube.
