"When we venture into a material often used by others we need to be different and stand out. The TYC092 lounge chair is curved on almost every angle however we chose a weave pattern normally used only on straight lined boxy products. That was our challenge and we have executed it to perfection, even developing a special visual stitch detail in the weaving to overcome complex curves. The always challenging connection point of placing teak and woven fibre together is cleverly disguised by adding in an upholstery piping detail to match the seat cushion piping".
All of Glyn Peter Machin´s woven items are suitable for both exterior and interior environments and in both cases all weaving is hand applied to solid teak frames providing substancial long term strength and quality. The TYC092 has influenced a number of custom pieces in these classic materials.
