It was during The Rendezvous in Monaco, which this year saw ten outstanding yachts from 38 metre to 67 metre on Quai des Etats-Unis, that the first Russian Ambassador for La Belle Classe Superyachts was appointed. The announcement was made at a La Belle Classe Superyachts cocktail, organised on Quinta Essentia, a 55 metre motor-yacht built in 2011 by the Heesen shipyard and designed by Ken Freivokh and Michela Reverberi.
In line with the wishes of its President, HSH Prince Albert II, to position the Principality as a centre of luxury yachting excellence, the Yacht Club de Monaco welcomes, supports and raises awareness of our maritime culture among superyacht owners through its La Belle Classe label. The ultimate aim is to “Encourage innovation and support the development of yachting”.
Knowing that MY Quinta Essentia’s owner Valentin Zavadnikov is committed to values promoted by the YCM, and competes at a high level with his Synergy Russian Sailing Team in the RC44, TP52 and Louis Vuitton World Series, the YCM was keen to welcome him into La Belle Classe Superyachts.
“As someone who is very active on the race scene with his Synergy team, Valentin is a true ambassador for yachting. His performances help promote our sport and the development of this sector in Russia,” said Bernard d’Alessandri, Secretary General of the YCM.
Alongside François Fiat, the first La Belle Classe Superyacht ambassador, Mr Zavadnikov will be responsible for promoting the values of this label, which unites all owners around a philosophy that respects etiquette and the environment, contributing to making Monaco the Capital of Yachting.
