Vilamoura Marina was awarded winner in the category for the Best Marina in Portugal at the BTL Portugal Trade Awards 2011, organised by Publituris. This award shows professional recognition of the marina’s quality and services, and is a surplus value for Vilamoura, the Algarve and Portugal.

In the last five years, the management of this marina invested great efforts in the optimisation of its infra-structures and in the qualification of its collaborators, aiming an outstanding service for its clients. The system for managing quality, implemented in 2004, has been important tools for monitoring this continuous strive for improvement, which efficiency is well demonstrated through the attribution by this system of the International Norm ISO 9001 certificate, granted by the SGS-ICS.

Furthermore, the Best Marina in Portugal award, together with these certifications and an average annual occupancy rate of 80% and a 95% clients satisfaction rate, demonstrate that the Vilamoura Marina has managed to respond, with success, to the demands of a market in constant change, standing out not only as a nautical destination but also as an important regional and national tourism reference.
