Imtech announces the acquisition of Van Berge Henegouwen Installaties B.V. (VBH). The total purchase price (including earn-out) is based on about five times the EBIT and will be paid in cash. The acquisition will contribute directly to the profit per share. The management of VBH will stay on after the acquisition. Profile Van Berge Henegouwen VBH has a strong network and has built up an excellent worldwide reputation with its customers. The company is based in Roelofarendsveen (The Netherlands) and employs about 35 people. The revenue achieved by VBH has increased by an average of 30 percent in recent years and was about 12 million euro in 2007. Strategy of Imtech The acquisition of VBH reinforces the maritime portfolio of Imtech a well as enables Imtech to integrate high-tech multimedia technology in the total scope of activities in the areas of automation, electrical systems, propulsion, communication, navigation, IT and security. The expectation is that Imtech's maritime companies (Imtech Marine & Offshore, Radio Holland Group and Hagenuk Schiffstechnik (HST)) will be able to offer clients added value by expanding their range of maritime (total) solutions with the high-tech multimedia technology of Van Berge Henegouwen. As known, Imtech acquires annually orders for dozens of luxury yachts in a large number of countries. |
