Bermuda Yacht Services opens new superyacht terminal in Bermuda
A partnership between the Corporation of St George and Bermuda Yacht Services has formed Bermuda’s first and only superyacht facility. The “St George’s SuperYacht Terminal” will be opening March 1st 2009 providing secure dockage, a dock master and line handlers for superyachts.
The new Facility in downtown St George can accommodate yachts of 300’ plus, alongside or stern-to. Yachts may make reservations prior to arrival as well as arrange for duty free fueling at the new facility. Additional dockside services include, high-speed WiFi, Crew recreation area and Concierge services.
The SuperYacht Terminal area is a short cobblestone stroll from historic downtown St George - Bermuda’s oldest town and an UNESCO World Heritage site. The facility is convenient to many amenities including a hardware store, post office, pharmacy, supermarket, florist, sail loft, moped rentals, gift shops, restaurants and pubs.
Uniquely positioned on the cruising route between North America, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, Bermuda has been a convenient stop for international yachts for hundreds of years. Her sheltered deep-water harbours provide a safe haven in the North Atlantic Ocean.
