Despite the current market slowdown, Servowatch with offices in the UK and USA have benefited from a prosperous start to the year.

Their integrated alarm, monitoring and control system has been selected by several major shipyards around the globe. With new build projects ranging from: a pair of 127ft series builds in China, a 23m in Taiwan, to a 45m in New Zealand and a second 50m in the US, plus further vessel refits and system enhancements including a 65m refit project also in the Far East.

“This positive start is evidence that although some apprehension remains in this market sector with some contracts being cancelled or postponed, the reputable suppliers are still finding success”, quotes Servowatch Yacht Systems Manager – Dave Pickering. “We have seen a slight decline in new build opportunities in some of our home territories, however other emerging countries are now sourcing proven, branded equipment with world-wide support to compliment their vessels selling potential in anticipation of the market recovery”.
