Superyacht Tribu crosses the Pacific and arrives in Tahiti
By Merijn de Waard
We have been regularly following the 50.70 metre superyacht Tribu on her tour around the world and news has come in from Captain Mosca and his crew, having just crossed the Pacific.
Leaving the Republic of Palau, Tribu cruised 5000 nautical miles in 20 days and arrived in Marina Taina, located five miles west of Papeete harbor, on 7th March.
“We have been lucky not to find tropical cyclones on our track, but we also took the right decisions about route and timing,” said Captain Mosca, who is extremely pleased with utterly competent crew.
Tribu will now spend some time in French Polynesia, cruising Society and Tuamotu, and will be available for charter through Fraser Yachts.
In the meantime Captain Alessandro Mirabile has recently joined the luxury explorer yacht and will work on rotation with veteran Captain Mosca.
