Wednesday, 6 March 2013
At SYT we follow superyachts around the world and sometimes we come across a superyacht which is unfamiliar to us. Such was the case yesterday, when I came across not one, but two superyachts at Pendik Marina in Istanbul, that I had never seen before. Both yachts, Limitless and Adamaris, have a huge sign on the stern of Dream Ship Victory. Read More
What ever happened to superyacht Platinum?

Whilst updating our database of yachts, I came across a yacht I haven't seen or heard from for years, superyacht Platinum. Built in 1962 in Germany by Lürssen, Platinum measures 54.65 metres. One of our readers told me he had seen the yacht in the 1990's in California, where the yacht was used by her owners to travel between Central America and San Diego. Read More
What happened to superyacht Amazon Express?
Friday, 1 February 2013
This very unusual looking superyacht is the Amazon Express. Despite the yacht having her own dedicated website, we have lost track of her, and we haven't seen her since 2006. A couple of years ago, she was a regular sight on the Cote d'Azur, but we think she could be on a world cruise right now. She was built in 1966. Read More
What ever happened to superyacht Blue Sea?

One small photo. That is all we have of superyacht Blue Sea. We have a strong suspicion that the yacht is kept in South Korea, but we have not been able to confirm this. What we do know, is that she was built in 1982 in Japan by Mie Zosen, as a sistership to superyacht Big Eagle. She was briefly for sale around 2004. Read More

Our quest for more information on the current state of superyacht Belgravia worked out very well, thanks all for your help. Following the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, SYT reported about the presence of an unknown superyacht at the event. At the time very little was known about this 'big black boat'. Unknown Superyacht: M/Y Highlife in Turkey
Wednesday, 12 December 2012
While going through our library of superyachts photos, I came across some photos of a grey/blue coloured superyacht called Highlife. The photos were taken in the Gocek (Turkey) area in May 2010 and the motor yacht is flagged in Turkey and registered in Marmaris. I have not seen this yacht before, however she does look like the 30 metre Bilgin motor yacht Sun-Set (2005). Read More

Yesterday I published an article about the world's most colourful yachts. Bannenberg designed superyacht Acajou rebuilt as Sureyya
Thursday, 9 June 2011
Last year, whilst on charter in Turkey, I cruised passed an unknown yacht near Göcek. The yacht's name, Sureyya, did not appear in any of our files, and the design did not look familiar. After lengthy investigation, we now strongly believe the yacht is the former Acajou, which was badly damaged in 2005, during a heavy storm in Greece. Read More
