Burger Boat Company is pleased to announce that Ingot, a 153’ (47m) Tri Deck Motor Yacht was presented with the inaugural Michael C. Fina Interior Design Award at the ShowBoats International Cavallino Yacht Hop on Friday January 23, 2009. This new award is for design excellence and was launched by the leading purveyors of interior design accoutrements; Michael C. Fina.
As Steven Fina commented, “Every single yacht considered had something unique, but we were looking beyond the ‘wow’ factor. Our winner needed to reflect our benchmarks for individuality; innovation; distinctiveness; continuity; versatility; timeless look and feel; and brilliance of overall concept. It also needed to balance detail, elegance, and be the sum of all things luxurious.”
Being associated for decades with premier designers in luxury yachting, Michael C. Fina has an astute viewpoint. “It’s truly remarkable what has taken place in the industry,” Fina adds “we’ve seen a drama of increasing size as we work with designers, builders, and owners. The award is really our way of honoring the relationships we’ve had with an industry which has supported us.”
While all the nominees have something special, Ingot stood out because of its consistency and as Ingot mirrors the philosophy of Michael C. Fina, it is only fitting then, that it be the first recipient of an award from the world leader in purveying interior design accoutrements. Ingot, a collaboration between the renowned Burger Design Team and Vripack in the Netherlands, features brilliant details and amenities ensuring pleasant cruising for owners and guests wherever she travels.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same.
