Pendennis has announced the commencement of the latest facilities upgrade to its 6.5 acre water front site in Falmouth, UK. Two new concrete piers are in the process of being erected either side of their slip way to accommodate a 400 tonne travel hoist. The hoist is currently being built in Italy and Pendennis hope that it will be in situe by the start of their next Winter refit season in September.
Several older buildings on site will also be pulled down to make way for a 4,000 sqm concreted area as the company this Winter has successfully completed refits on several Yachts under bubble tent on hard standing. This latest upgrade is part of a sustained program of development for the Falmouth Shipyard. Since 2004 their facilities have grown to include two 75m dry docks, a new three story building containing workshops and storage and refurbished offices for up to 5 crews at anyone time in a converted Victorian grain store on site.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
