Amico & Co, the Italian shipyard leader in maintenance and refit of large yachts increases its commercial structure with the arrival of Alfonso Postorino as Business Development Manager to further increase the relationship with customers and specialized press and, generally speaking, to enlarge the offer of dedicated services for megaychts.
Alfonso Postorino, 51, who has many years of experience in important shipyards building large yachts, will work closely with the Managing Director Alberto Amico and Paul Loftus.
Amico & Co – which hasaround 120 employees – is accomplishing a period of 5 mln € investments in three years to build new sheds, offices and moorings. A new covered refit area of 1000 sqm is already available. 900 sqm of new offices and new moorings for 23 yachts up to 120mt will be ready within October 2007.
The activity of the last 12 months shows a turnover increase of 35%. From September 2006 more than 70 yachts have already been at the yard; just to mention a few: megayachts like Ice, Mirabella V, Lady Christina, Blue de Nimes, Alibi and a fleet of vintage yachts such as Shamrock V, Gitana IV, Zaca, Orion, Ocean Glory, Montrevel and Kitty Hawk.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
