Summer is approaching and at Amico & Co the long season of maintenance, repairs and refitting of some of the most beautiful yachts in the world is coming to an end: all the boats are ready for their cruising season.
From September 2006 to March 2007 about 85 big sailing and motor yachts made a stop at Amico & Co “to refresh their make-up”. Just as after a short stay in a beauty farm people feel younger and better, after a refitting at Amico & Co a yacht looks as shining as on her launching day. One of the most demanding refits of the past winter, the full repainting of Shamrock V (photo), the famous J Class built in 1930 for Sir Thomas Lipton, has been successfully concluded with the application of the new Boero Challenger paint. During the refit, two new Northern Lights generators have also been mounted onboard with their exhaust system, automatic parallel and seamless transfer system.
The dry dock has been occupied by Lady Christina (Oceanco 62 m) who choose Amico & Co to repaint hull and superstructure, and later by Radiant (Amels 52 m).
Atlantic Goose, 45m motor-yacht, had a full refit in less than 90 days : brand new interiors (including all furniture and upholsteries), generators service to “zero hours”, hull and superstructure painting in Awlgrip.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
