Ocean Management was delighted to win the mandate for the full management of this magnificent 90.6m mini-cruise vessel. Sunrise was largely re-built in 2001 and subsequently benefited from a full interior refit in 2004. Since OCI concluded the sale of the vessel in April she went into immediate service for her new Owner. 
ASP Yacht Management based in San Remo Italy and managed by Lena Sundell has encouraged the owner of Northern Cross to convert his yacht into an environmentally friendly vessel. Lena, contacted environmental and organic supply specialist Earthly Supply Company in Antibes France, to supply products and services for this project. 
Dutch yacht management company Falcon Rydell has announced that it has been awarded the contract to manage a brand new 62-metre motoryacht due for launch in the summer of 2009. The Icon 62 will be the first superyacht to be completed by a new luxury yachtbuilder, Icon Yachts in the Netherlands. 
Palm Beach Yachts International (PBYI) has announced that its yacht construction division has recently completed the overarching management on behalf of the owner of the 141’ Trinity Big City and has just signed a yacht construction management agreement with an owner to build a 150’ Pendennis. 
Watkins Yacht Management has entered into a joint marketing venture with Air Harrods to provide aviation and concierge support, both helicopter and fixed wing, to the superyacht industry. Transfers to yachts now begin at the owner, charterer or guest’s front door and form a seamless itinerary incorporating limousines, flights and helicopter transfers. 
With the high cost of purchasing and maintaining a superyacht in these difficult financial times, the concept of Fractional Ownership has found a highly receptive market. There are a number of differing schemes on offer, but Curvelle has developed a system which allows the owners a much greater level of flexibility and freedom of choice. 
The Private Client large yacht specialists Royale Oceanic have recently completed the Total Project Management which includes all commercial, legal and technical aspects, with its sister company Burness Corlett Three Quays providing naval architecture and marine engineering support for Sarafsa, the 82m superyacht built by Devonport. 
On Wednesday Peter Wilson watched the 84’ Langan designed Angel being launched by Yachting Developments in Hobsonville. She then motored down the harbour to have the mast stepped before returning to the dock at the yard for final tweaking. She has been 18 months in the making, and Wednesday marked a significant project milestone.
