It is odd to think that whilst the Benetti shipyard in Livorno is celebrating the launch of the new 60m Amnesia (FB 245), the first parts of the 65m Amnesia (FB 252) are being built at the same yard.
In the meantime preparations are underway for on time delivery of the 60m yacht, as promised to her experienced owner two years ago. The launch ceremony took place on Saturday, the 9th of February. FB 245 is the third Benetti commissioned by her owner. It started with the 50m Amnesia (FB 224) in 2000, followed by a 55m (FB 228) in 2003.
The design of the new Amnesia was created in collaboration between Benetti, who are responsible for her exterior looks, and Redman Whiteley Dixon, who designed her interiors. The outcome is a modern and sophisticated design, embellished by excellent finishing touches and elegant details which make this yacht another unique piece of the Benetti fleet.
The well-established shipyard team, made up of Project Manager Michele Bechelli, Work Order Architect Barbara Woo, Coordinator Luigi Fruzzetti and Head of Set-Up Francesco Figaro, strongly collaborated with the owner’s team, surveyor Gary Bounce, and the architects of the English studio, thus ensuring the success of this new yacht.
This summer Amnesia will cruise the Mediterranean waters and will be available for charter.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
