The Pula based shipyard Avangard Yachts (formerly Heli Yachts) launched the 50m Avangard II at the end of March. Her exterior lines come from the drawing board of Frank Mulder, while the interior is designed by the Rome based design studio Lazzarini & Pickering.

The steel hulled Avangard II is a full displacement yacht and built to Lloyds classification. Besides a ski-boat and wave runners, she also carries a 40ft Sunseeker onboard. For transportation to the shore she carries a Eurocopter 130B4, which can be stored in a hangar on the wheelhouse deck.

The yacht is powered by twin 1650 HP Caterpillar 3215B, enabling her to achieve a top speed of 16 knots. She cruises comfortably at 14 knots and when cruising at 12 knots she has a range of 8,000nm.
