By Maarten Janssen On Saturday, February 14, Amels launched another superyacht (hull 455) in their successful Limited Editions 171 series. Introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show 2005, the 171 has already proven itself to be a highly successful model. Four 171's were launched and delivered since 2007; Deniki, La Mirage, Lady Nag Nag and Were Dreams. The Vlissingen based shipyard is also working on two other models, the 212 and a slightly extended version of the 171, the 177. The 171, 177 and the 212 are all styled by Tim Heywood. Amels recently completed the re-building of a classic 68.5m superyacht launched in Italy in 1991, and has an immediate refit slot open. They can accept a superyacht in its largest drydock, which is 215 meters long, 30 meters wide, with air draft of 46 meters. Photo by Wim Kosten of www.maritimephoto.com.
