From 4 to 8 May 2009, Genoa hosted the 21st edition of the MYBA Charter Show. This is one of the most important international exhibitions dedicated to charter professionals and superyachts.The exhibition is a select showcase for luxury charter yachts and the most exclusive display of ancillary services for the yachting industry.

SuperYachtTimes.com visited over 40 superyachts that were on display at this year's show in Genoa, and we will bring you a series of articles about the best charter yachts available. Today we bring you a selection of five fantastic superyachts for charter, under 40 meters.

Nanou
In the spring of 2006, the Nanou started its first season, offering an exceptionally large amount of space both inside and on deck and unique special features. Sundene
Melita Marine showcased the latest addition to their charter fleet, Sundene. The 24.50 metre Sundene was built in Taiwan in 2002 and is powered by twin Caterpillar engines.

Her spacious and inviting aft deck area creates the perfect setting to absorb beautiful surroundings. Ideal for al fresco dining at anchor or a lazy mid-morning brunch whilst sitting comfortably beneath the abundant shaded area.

Sundene’s incredibly generous volume is apparent from her elegant main saloon and dining area. Her panoramic windows offer stunning views out onto the azure sea and beyond.

The yacht’s three double ensuite staterooms are located on the lower deck where the Master Cabin enjoys full beam width and ‘his and her’ bathroom facilities. Television and DVD facilities are available in all cabins, which are each uniquely designed, creating a warm and totally luxurious atmosphere.

Grand Cru III
Grand Cru III is one of the latest Benetti Sail Division creations released in 2009 and is brand new to the charter market. With her three levels, she has been optimized from long range cruising. Comfort has been included in the equation where expansive space is given to elegant lounging and saloon areas.

Cruising on Grand Cru III is a quite unique experience. It is unusual to find so much accommodation and comfort on a boat of this size. Exceptional design of the interior maximises space throughout. Finished with beautiful American cherry wood paneling, parquet flooring and the finest marble.

The aft main deck features a comfortable outdoor sitting area covered by the upper deck creating a welcoming place for relaxation. Alfresco dining is also offered for eight. My Life
The 27 metre My Life was built by the Italian Maiora shipyard in 2007 and she offers her guests the ideal platform to explore the Italian coast in utmost comfort and luxury. She is also the perfect yacht for those who love speed, with her twin 2,435hp MTU engines she reaches speeds up to 33 knots!

Her large salon is enriched with natural oak and Canaletto chestnut finishings and the adjoining dining area can seat 8 people. Next to the dining area is the very well equipped galley where chef and captain Stefano Dall’Oglio prepares his seafood specialties. My Life offers ample space for entertaining with a dining table on the aft deck, and another alfresco dining area on the flybridge, which also features a large sunbed to enjoy the sun. My Life is based in Gaeta, between Rome and Naples and is ideally based to explore Naples, Capri, Ischia, Lipari Islands or Sardinia. Harmony
The moment you step on board Harmony you are greeted with the warmest of welcomes by Captain jack McKay and his wonderful crew.
