Ocean Independence report a very busy month in yacht sales with three completions. The 1991, 90.6m mini cruise ship, Hebridian Spirit, has been sold to a direct client and brokered by Michael White and Peter Thompson from OCI UK. The ship will be operated through Ocean Management on behalf of the new Owner. The vessel was rebuilt in 2001 plus a full interior refit in 2004 and further improvements are already planned by the owner. This sale was hot on the heels of the completion, by Peter Thompson, of Casino Royale, the 50m ‘Millennium Edition’ Christensen launched in 2008. Thirdly, the lovely 34m 1979 classic Feadship, Celine Ashley, an OCI central through David Goddard, was sold to a direct client by Peter Thompson with the new Owner having some exciting plans for the vessel in the near future. The action continued with 11 new yachts joining the Ocean Independence fleets: New for sale with the latest addition to OCI’s Antibes brokerage team, Jeroen Minnema are the popular charter yacht Celtic Dawn, a 31.45m Astondoa 102 GLX from 2003, sleeping 8 guests in 4 cabins, also for charter with OCI, and also the 26m Cantieri Versil Falcon 86 Baron-B in co-central, launched in 2005 and refitted in 2008/9 she sleeps 9 guests in 4 cabins. Then with OCI managing partner Peter Hürzeler in Zürich, the brand new turnkey 26m Custom line Ulyssia, sleeping 10 guests in 5 cabins this compact 2009 superyacht is ready to go. And finally with UK based director Michael White and Palma based Marc Haendle, after a major engineering refit in 2008/2009 the 1997 26m Jongert Twirlybird VI sleeping 6 guests in 3 cabins. New for charter are: With OCI’s Düsseldorf based Charter Director Adelheid Chirco 2 yachts; cruising Croatia and Italy this season the traditional 30m Jongert Sailing T, built 1985 and refitted in 2006, this high quality Ketch sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins. And also the brand new 26m Custom line Ulyssia, sleeping 10 guests in 5 cabins this semi displacement yacht was designed for cruising in comfort and will also take in the western med this season. Then with OCI’s Palma-based charter broker Barbara Müller, 2 Mochi crafts cruising the Balearics and western med; the 27m Leigh, built in 1997 she is in great charter condition, sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins and boasts an extra wide swim platform and large Jacuzzi. And the 1996 26m White Fang sleeping 8 guests in 4 comfortable and spacious cabins. And finally with OCI Monaco Charter Broker Paula Barber the smart 22m 2005 Azimut Don’t Ask, sleeping 6 guest in 3 cabins she will be based in the South of France & Italy.
