Hein Velema appointed CEO of Fraser Yachts

Hein Velema has been appointed CEO of Fraser Yachts as of 23rd February, 2009. Hein Velema replaces Frank Brand who has left the company.

In his previous position of Commercial Director of Fraser Yachts, Hein Velema was responsible for brokerage, new construction and charter. Under his management in 2008 Fraser Yachts sold more large yachts than any other brokerage house. Hein has 13 years experience in the super yacht industry and has been active in Fraser Yachts since 2007.

The new leadership will focus on exploiting the current commercial opportunities and ensuring that Fraser Yachts reacts faster to market change. With the solid backing of the Azimut | Benetti Group, Fraser Yachts is uniquely placed to increase its global market share. Fraser Yachts is the only large brokerage house currently investing in new offices; last year in Newport, RI and Mexico, this year in Palma de Mallorca. This strategy of growth has attracted a number of experienced brokers to Fraser Yachts.
