Moonen Shipyards will show the brand new Moonen 124 at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. On Saturday, 25 April 2009, the longest, highest displacement yacht Moonen Shipyards has built, the 38-metre Moonen 124, was brought out of her construction hall and launched into the Lek River.
The Moonen 124 was shaped by René van der Velden Yacht Design over a hullform by Stolk Marimecs naval architects. She is the first Moonen yacht with a four-deck central atrium and spiral staircase.
Her layout features a main-deck master suite forward with “veranda.” Below, two double and two twin guest staterooms centre on the stairs, with crew quarters forward. The Moonen 124 has an innovative interior by Art-Line featuring “fusion” styling of western cherry joinery “spiced” by Oriental details including woven bamboo, leather, wooden floors, tropical shutters, and lots of loose lounging furniture. The wheelhouse is a fine example of ergonomic planning.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
