Van der Velden Marine Systems present at METS

Van der Velden® Marine Systems, winner of last year’s DAME Design Award, will again participate at METS. The company’s Yachting division will have a stand showcasing a prototype of the revolutionary EPS™ thruster along with a video presentation of its benefits. Location Manager Ron Koekenbier and Export Sales Manager Marcel Vos will man stand number 02.429 during the METS, which this year runs from 14 up to and including 16 November in the Amsterdam RAI.

Offering major benefits to owners and naval architects in terms of power-performance, noise, weight, robustness and environmental friendliness, the innovative EPS™ thruster has already been ordered by major yards such as Royal Huisman. It is now available in five versions with the following inner diameters: 450, 550, 650, 800 and the new 1050. A compact retractable version is also available of the EPS™ thruster, which has just been chosen as one of the three final nominees for the 2006 Dutch Maritime Innovation Award.
