Monday, 1 October 2007

Show Management, producer of the 48th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, has announced that exhibit space at this year’s event has sold out. On-land booths, spaces and in-water slips comprise more than 3.2 million sq. ft. of saleable space throughout the show’s six presentation venues – making it the largest boat show in the world.

The Fort Lauderdale Show is also considered a highly representative marine exposition and leading economic barometer for all segments of the marine market. “From global companies to local retailers, participation in the show is a vital component of a company’s marketing and sales strategies for the year,“ commented Andrew Doole, Vice President of Show Management. “In a good number of cases, the Show represents one-third of total business operations for most major boat and yacht manufacturers and dealers,” Doole continues.

Producers also confirm that the waiting list for participation remains extensive, pointing to a continued demand to grow the already widespread show whenever and wherever possible.

Currently the 48th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® is a $2 Billion+ marketplace of more than 1,000 exhibitors featuring close to 1,600 new and brokered vessels (including superyachts, motor yachts, sport fishers, cruisers, go-fast, high performance, flats boats, personal watercrafts, etc.) throughout six sites including:
• Bahia Mar Yachting Center
• Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center
• Hall of Fame Marina
• Las Olas Marina
• Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club
• Hyatt Pier 66 Hotel & Marina

This year’s event will take place October 25 – 29, 2007.
