JFA, Joubert Nivelt Goeffers and Rhoades Young have recently completed a new 27.5m motor-sailer intended for a life of exploration and discovery. Hortense has been designed specifically for extended periods at sea, and is expected to spend much of her time in remote southern hemisphere locations. 
The 71.1m Haida G, originally Haida, was built at Krupp Germania Werft in Kiel in 1929 for millionaire yeast producer Max C. Fleischmann (1877-1952) following plans drafted by the New York naval architects Cox and Stevens and today, 80 years after her launch, she still graces the ocean with her unique style following an impeccable restoration. 
The unmistakable SanLorenzo line has recently been extended, with the introduction of the SanLorenzo 100 New, which made her debut appearence at the Genoa Boat Show. The Sanlorenzo line now consists of the SL62, SL72, SL82, SL100 New and the SL108, which was introduced on SuperYachtTimes.com in august of this year. 
The AB 116 is the latest model by the AB Yachts shipyard. The model summarises the new AB Yachts style concept of sport poweryachts, with a slender looking hull, smooth, tapering, and winning lines. The interior has been conceived in order to grant the utmost comfort in an environment able to create continuity between the exterior and the interior. 
My Petra is the sixth in Heesen's semi-displacement, all-aluminium, 4400 Class, which, alongside the 3700 Class, represents one of the most popular designs by Heesen Yachts in collaboration with Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Heesen yachts are greatly appreciated for their superior performance. 
Natori, the 41m Baglietto launched earlier this year, has become one of the most talked about vessels on the charter scene. She was unveiled to the public for the first time at the Genoa Charter Show, where we were invited on board by Camper and Nicholsons. The yacht's owner commissioned Bannenberg and Rowell Design to design the interior. 
Early June, Tecnomar presented its latest project, the Nadara 43, in the beautiful port of Portofino. Tecnomar used this opportunity, to prove to the press and public how much the company is investing in finding solutions where technology, design, elegance and high performance can coexist to create something unique and exclusive. 
From the large graceful hull to the finest of fine details, everything about the 65.22-meter (214’) Trident is of exceptional quality. The partnership between De Voogt Naval Architects and Donald Starkey Designs pays off handsomely. Trident’s flared bow is classic De Voogt while contemporary touches such as the semi-circular extensions are pure Starkey. 
Providing her owners with a magnificent lifestyle, as many sea miles passed under her keel, she’s as proud, solid, and beautiful as the day she was launched by Amels, and delivered to the welcoming arms of her proud owners. During the recent Antibes Yacht Show, her builder and broker invited us on board this, until recently very private, superyacht. 
Just 16 days and 21 hours after leaving the safe harbor of New York, the 137-foot Superyacht Elena entered the 1928 history books by participating in the 3.411 miles King's Cup Trans-Atlantic Race for the King’s Cup from New York to Santander. Rebuilt in 2009 by Factoria Naval de Marin, the racing schooner Elena will once again make history. 
Creating the interior design for a traditional Turkish motorsailor. When that challenge was accepted by Nauta Design, few of the designers in the Milanese studio were expecting such a beautiful and remarkable end result. The 36 mt. L.O.A., steel yacht has been built in Tuzla, homeland of yachting in Turkey. 
Ancòra is the latest jewel built by Baglietto, one of Italy’s leading supeyacht builders. Ancòra, fully built in steel and aluminium, has a length of 42,75 m and a beam of approx. 9 m; the external lines are slender and aggresive, in tradition with Baglietto’s displacement yachts designed by the Italian Designer Francesco Paszkowski. 
The task for Lürssen was to build a 60m yacht for private use with a concept and layout differing from typical charter yachts, i.e. a formal dining on the forward main deck and an owners’ state room and a private exterior deck located on the aft upper deck. The owner, together with his family, was very much involved in the design and building process. 
Keep Cool, the latest pearl in the Sanlorenzo fleet, is the first of the new Sanlorenzo SL108 model. In keeping with the Sanlorenzo tradition, the SL108 – with its 33 meters the largest in the fibreglass fleet- represents the flag ship of the Italian yard’s fibreglass series of motoryachts, built by the Ameglia Division. 
The third hull of the new CRN 43 composite line, Rubeccan, can easily accommodate 10 passengers and 9 crew. Built as a joint effort involving the CRN technical staff and the Zuccon International Project Firm, which handled the external layout, the interior furnishings and decorative scheme of this 43-metre vessel. Rubeccan features a distinctive personality. 
The superyacht Leo Fun was the initial stylings of world renowned Naval Architect, Paolo Caliari of Caliari Yachts Inc. (Caliari). Partnering with Caliari is the team of Turkey’s Proteksan Turquoise Design (builder) and Jean Guy Vergès (interior design). This 54-meter explorer-style superyacht, with a 9.5 meter beam, is set apart by other yachts in her class. 
Launched this summer, and being spotted at popular big cities everywhere, is the 42.97m superyacht Big City. She was launched earlier this year from the Trinity Yachts, LLC (Trinity) shipyard in New Orleans, LA. This superyacht, designed and built by Trinity, has classic lines, with a deep blue hull and a complimentary off-white superstructure. 
After an exceptional journey of innovation and development at the Royal Huisman yard, the graceful 58m Ron Holland designed ketch Ethereal, with interior and exterior styling by Pieter Beeldsnijder, took to the water in November 2008 to begin the serious voyaging for which she was created. In many ways, Ethereal is no ordinary yacht. 
Grand Cru III was commissioned in May 2009 for an experienced and discerning yachtsman. Built by the renowned BenettiSailDivision shipyard in Italy, to the superb designs of P.B. Behage, with many innovative systems and features onboard. This ‘go anywhere’ motor yacht offers excellent comfort and safety. 
Launched in mid-October of 2008, the 50 meter aluminum ketch superyacht Baracuda, was the 46th unit in the Perini Navi (Perini) fleet. The design team consisted of Perini's in-house naval architects and teamed with New Zealander Ron Holland, this superyacht features many important project innovations. 
In this week's SuperYacht of the Week special, we take a closer look at two of the Timmerman Yachts models, the 47 (Alexandra) and the 33 (Victoria-M). Timmerman Yachts is an international consortium, building steel displacement motor yachts. The model range of Timmerman Yachts includes series of 26 to 50 meters semi-custom yachts. 
Quietly, and rather below the yachting industry radar, an experienced Turkish maritime family built a displacement motor yacht in the comprehensive shipbuilding facilities in Tusla, south of Istanbul. Dream On was delivered in Spring 2008. Bannenberg were commissioned to design an interior with glamour and richness. 
Mondango, the stunning Dubois 52m ketch from Alloy Yachts has been meticulously designed and built by dedicated owners who have been involved in every aspect of her development. Mondango was built for an International Businessman, and is the fifth yacht over 50m built by Alloy Yachts. 
On June 14th, the first Perini Navi to be designed by Philippe Briand, P2, was launched at the Cantieri Navali Beconcini (a Perini Navi Group company) in La Spezia. The combination of Perini Navi’s philosophy and Briand’s vision has led to this new class of fast sailing yachts for owners who seek high performance allied with comfort and unmatched quality. 
Motor yacht A, launched by Blohm & Voss in 2008, returned to her builder after her initial summer season. She was relaunched only a few days ago, and photographer Carl Groll went out to photograph her, during her recent sea trials, off the coast of Germany. A, designed by Philippe Starck, is without doubt the most eye-catching superyacht ever launched. 
Currently undergoing sea trials in New Zealand, Performance Yachts (Performance) launched their first PY-100 superyacht in early February of this year. The PY-100 is the largest undertaking to date for this relatively young company. The Performance design goal for the PY-100, christened Liara, was challenging to say the least. 
Recently honored with the Best Power 40m-65m award 2008 by the International Superyacht Society, the 44.65-meter (146’ 6”) Feadship Harle is a motoryacht of uncompromising beauty and grace. Built by Feadship/Royal Van Lent, this superb vessel completely validates the ideas behind the custom-series F45 Vantage concept. 
Established in 2002, Platinum Yachts FZCO first received recognition with their inaugural construction project, superyacht Dubai, formerly Golden Star. At Platinum Yachts, they have an in-house naval architect, as well as fully-staffed engineering and design departments; a perfect match for the conversion of the superyacht Dubai Magic. 
In September 2006 Burger Boat Company announced the signing of the contract for a contemporary-styled 101ft (31m) enclosed bridge, high speed motor yacht, project Liberty. The owners of Tò-Kalòn wanted a unique vessel, they loved the idea of having a one-of-a-kind vessel, unlike others docked at marinas and seen along the waterways. 
Presented at the most recent Genoa Boat Show, the Admiral Yachts flagship Aqva received a very warm reception by the press and those in attendance. The 40 meter Aqva, also received a warm reception by the Italian magazine Vela & Motore, whose editors gave this Admiral 40 their annual “Superyacht of the Year” award. 
In June 2008, BenettiSailDivision launched their largest yacht to date. With all the classic lines of a 1920’s motor yacht and the modern conveniences of a 21st century superyacht, BenettiSailDivision created the first of her kind, the 110D Oldtimer Series , Evergreen. Her interiors are simple and understated, with attractive accents to draw more interest. 
Superyacht enthusiasts expect to be impressed at Fort Lauderdale's International Boat Show, and in 2008, the show's 40th anniversary, that is just what happened when Lazzara Yachts premiered their newest sport superyacht, the Lazzara LSX 92. The LSX 92 is completely rethought and redesigned from last year's Lazzara stand-out, the LSX 75. 
In mid November, under the skies of southern Italy, Cantieri di Baia (Baia) launched the first superyacht built in Campania by a Neapolitan shipyard, the Baia One Hundred. The lines of the One Hundred were created by the 100% Italian design and engineering team of Baia (concept), Carlo Galeazzi (styling), and Alberto Ascenzi (engineering). 
For nearly 10 years, De Birs Yachts has been working towards a stronger linkage between aeronautical engineering and design and superyacht design. Though this linkage was achieved, and proved successful, in their 85 series, De Birs, teaming with Arrabito, has now earned its position in the superyacht world with the new 100 SP series. 
Luxury Yacht Group has confirmed its appointment as the worldwide central agent for the sale of the latest Ken Freivokh 38m sailing yacht creation, Tiger. Offered for sale at just €4.5m, this state-of-the-art sailing yacht combines top pedigree design and pioneering features for exceptional value, both now and into the future. 
Trinity Yachts, LLC, has become one of the world's elite US-based builders of custom superyachts. In 2008, they launched Destination Foxharb’r Too. With an interior created by Patrick Knowles Design, she is the culmination of a proud tradition of high-quality craftsmanship and design, state-of-the-art engineering and construction, and cutting-edge technology. 
Launched by Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw, Ocean Mercury is the first of a modular customseries concept from Feadship called the SL39. Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with an interior by Terence Disdale, Ocean Mercury has a classic Feadship look and will be primarily used in the Mediterranean. 
Odyssey is the 38 meter 2008 concept of Rodriquez Yachts (Rodriquez), the design and production unit of superyachts for Rodriquez Cantieri Navali. Delivered last spring, Odyssey is the newest model, the Rodriquez 38 WB, crafted by Rodriquez. The Rodriquez 38 WB model is a wide-body vessel with a full-beam main deck. 
At the Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali (CRN) Shipyard in Ancona, elegance and style are combined with engineering and technology, all in a close working relationship with the owner/client. This ultimately leads to the creation of unique works of sea‐going art and technology, such as CRN Project 122, Romance. 
The most striking feature of Alexandar V – ISA 480, the latest from ISA Yachts, is the stern with staircases on each side that connect all of the decks to one another. From the back, the vessel looks like it contains a series of balconies. Another unusual feature of Alexandar V is the color of its hull, which is called “desert sand.” 
My Trust, a motor yacht built by Hakvoort Shipyard in The Netherlands, is a stately ship with a dark blue hull and a classical interior with a masculine flavor. The 45-metre vessel is registered in Holland and also managed by a Dutch company. It sails under the Dutch flag and was built to the specifications of both Lloyds and the MCA. 
In the 2007 Astilleros de Mallorca completed the restoration of Blue Bird, a classic gentleman’s yacht built in 1938 for Sir Malcolm Campbell. The story of the restoration of Blue Bird started in the spring of 2004. A British gentleman had been looking at numerous classic yachts, but none of these yachts matched what he was looking for. 
Maisha is a 38m (125ft) motor yacht designed by Ava Yacht Design Co. Ltd. and Scaro Design with minimalism in mind and an earth-tone palette. Built by Cobra Yachting in Turkey, the yacht can accommodate eight guests and seven crew members. The interior design by Dara Kirmizitoprak, also of Turkey, is dedicated to symmetry. 
Pure Insanity is a 34-metre open hard top planing motor yacht built by Cantieri Navali Baglietto in its Varazze shipyard. Painted in dark metallic grey, this planing coupé whose sleek lines were designed by Francesco Paszkowski, runs at the maximum speed of 33 knots and cruises at 30 knots powered by her two 2,040 kW V12 MTU diesels. 
Amnesia III (FB 245) is Graham de Zille’s third yacht with Italian custom yacht builder Benetti, and with each vessel, he works to improve on the design. Mr de Zille worked closely together with Benetti to create a yacht that would fulfill his vision. This required some creative and innovative solutions on Benetti’s part.
Thea may not be a new vessel, but according to Ken Burden of Fraser Yachts, who is offering the yacht for sale, “Thea has a certain ‘magic.’” Launched in 1968 as the Donapila II, Thea was sold and renamed the Myrna, then the Deerama in 2000, when she was offered for charter in the Mediterranean. In 2006, she was offered for sale in Greece. 
Namasté, a Tamsen 40 M super yacht, has many unique attributes that will no doubt make it interesting and attractive to numerous yacht enthusiasts. Unveiled in 2008 at the Festival International de la Plaisance in Cannes and at the Monaco Yacht Show, the vessel is a full meter wider than most yachts of the same length – 40 meters (approximately 131 feet.). 
Recently launched from the Italian yard Navi Rossi, South is already set to become one of the most popular charters yachts around. Designed and built for an experienced owner, who previously owned a 39m yacht, she offers every possible amenity, including a top deck gym, an elevator, and a large tender garage. 
Darsea, is one of the latest yachts in the shipyard's Displacement Series. It is handsomely shaped by René van der Velden Design, with a round-bilge hullform drawn by naval architects Diana Yacht Design. Darsea's interior styling is by Art-Line. Darsea features Caterpillar engines and zero-speed stabilizers, and is built to Lloyd's Register Class and MCA. 
Designed by P.B. Pandelis and built in 1961/62 by the Atlantic Shipbuilding Company, Khalidia was launched with the name Ariane III and was retained by the Pandelis family for their private use. After much persuasion Mr Pandelis very reluctantly sold the vessel to the British business man John Bloom who later sold her to The Revlon family. 
Like a great white shark leaping out of the waters of South Africa, the M/Y White Shark creates an equally powerful white silhouette as it cuts through its European waters. Unveiled at the Palma Boat Show on the island of Mallorca in May 2008, the White Shark is a semi-customized flybridge adaptation of the new Johnson 105. 
Kokomo’s appeal is simple. She is the finest available sailing yacht of her size. At 52 metres (170’) Kokomo is the ideal length that combines large interior spaces with sleek performance values. Long enough to have a massive 63.4 metre rig able to support a sail volume of 3,832 square metres. She is an enormously accomplished yacht. 
Built by Feadship’s Royal Van Lent yard in the Netherlands, the 61.20-meter (200’9”) Secret is full of surprises. Designers De Voogt Naval Architects, the owners and interior designer Jim Harris have taken the classical concept of a Feadship as their blueprint, then created a yacht that is very much at home in the 21st century. 
What happens when a ferry boat aspires to be a yacht? The result is the Maria Vittoria, a luxury superyacht converted by Italian refit architects, Lenci Marine and San Benedetto del Tronto. Transforming a ferry boat into a megayacht is no easy task, so this was no ordinary refit. The original Maria Vittoria was built in 1960 in Oslo’s Glommers Mek yard. 
Gitana is the latest masterpiece by Baglietto, measuring 53 metres in length with a displacement of 620 tonnes. Even at first sight, the exterior design clearly express the unmistakeable style of Baglietto, with harmoniously penned lines, forms and windows underscored by the white colour scheme. 
Hanseatic Marine’s M/Y Silver launched in 2007 is certainly a head-turner. It’s innovative design by Espen Oeino breaks the trend of wider yachts with exceptionally slender lines that almost make the vessel look like a pointer from an aerial view. However, this sleek silhouette certainly doesn’t take away from the yacht’s classic sophistication and elegance. 
A bright and calm sensation, a breath of fresh air. This best describes the atmosphere on board Mylo. Mylo (hull BC109) features an exciting new fashion style for Benetti, until now unseen in the Classic series. The minimalist style on board Mylo is stressed by the clean lines of the interior- and the exterior areas of the yacht. 
A journey through the relish of the east, crossing through the silks of Venetian glories and docking in the depths of the Coral Sea among shells, sea creatures and colourful corals. Like one of the vessels of the old navy which sails the seas towards the east in discovery of unknown worlds, Blue Eyes follows routes full of memories.
