The Pendennis Cup has had a flying start with two days of exciting sailing in Falmouth, UK. Winds of over 30 knots have created challenging racing conditions with very close starts and nail biting finishes.

Yachts such as Adix, Mariquita, Altair, Mariette, Lutine, The Lady Anne and Kelpie have all been seen on the water, battling it out around the marks with two swimmers reported and a broken gaff.

“We have had great schooner racing so far and for our first visit to Falmouth, it has been a fantastic experience for Altair and all the crew. We’ll definitely be coming back.” Stephane, Capt Altair

The regatta is run as part of Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week and is part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for Pendennis Shipyard.
