Baum and French-British yacht-builder Guillaume Roché, has announced a major new 63 metre project for a European client introduced by YMG Yacht Management Group Switzerland. Jan Jaap Minnema of Fraser Yachts tells us he has sold a new build superyacht project at Benetti in Italy. Project FB 255 measures 60 metres, and is due for delivery in 2014. Her asking price was € 48,000,000. FB 255 will accommodate up to 12 guests, in a large upper deck forward owner's cabin, two cabins, and 4 lower deck guest cabins. Read More

The year started off on the right foot for the Admiral Tecnomar Group, which signed a new contract for a Nadara 38 metre superyacht. The sales occurred just prior to the delivery of latest superyacht Ouranos, a 45 metre. Powered by twin 2,580 kW MTU engines, the new Nadara 38 metre is expected to top out over 28 knots. Read More

Fitzroy Yachts has announced that they have signed an order for a new 37.5 metre fast cruising sloop. Designed by Dubois Naval Architects, with an interior by Design Unlimited, the yacht is being built for European owners, and she will be their first yacht. Gulf Craft Inc., today announced the sale of its second Majesty 135 hull. The announcement comes less than four weeks after the largest ever hull construction by Gulf Craft made its international premiere at the company’s 30th anniversary celebrations, held at its Majesty Yachts manufacturing facility in the UAE on March 10. Last month, the Italian shipyard ISA Yachts announced they had signed three new contracts between mid-2011 and early 2011. Today they have announced a fourth order, this time for a 43 metre Granturismo (GT). Two of these four orders are for repeat clients. Spirit Yachts Ltd has announced an historic collaboration with Sparkman & Stephens Inc to build a new J-Class yacht. This iconic new ‘J’ will be named Cheveyo (pronounced shu-Vay-o), a native American word meaning “spirit warrior.” Registered in the United States, the yacht will carry sail number J1. Read More

At the Miami Yacht Show last week, Benetti announced a new contact for a new 90 metre superyacht. Details are still unknown, but the yacht will be the largest yacht delivered by the Italian yard since the delivery in 1980 of the Bannenberg designed 86 metre superyacht Nabila (now Kingdom 5KR). Christensen Shipyard has sold a Custom 160 superyacht to Mr Donald A. Burns, who previously owned the 36.58 metre superyacht Cacique, now First Draw. Mr Burns is the 20th client who has returned to Christensen for a new yacht. The superyacht will be one of the first US flagged yachts with the capabilities of commercial charter in Europe. Read More

Dubois Naval Architects have announced that the keel laying ceremony for design 368 took place yesterday at the Feadship Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw in Holland. Malcolm McKeon of Dubois Naval Architects began the weld on the superyacht now in build at Feadship. Design 368 is a 46 metre motoryacht. Read More

Moran Yacht & Ship today announced the sale of 65.5 metre Palmer Johnson project Stimulus. This sale represents the largest yacht sold so far in 2012. This yacht is the fifth Palmer Johnson built yacht that has been sold by Moran Yacht & Ship in the past four years.
