Moonen is proud to announce that its 114-foot (34.70-meter) My Issue, launched in spring 2006, was chosen from among a group of quality finalists for the World Yachts Trophy in the “100-120-foot Flybridge” category. The award was given to Moonen during the recent Salon Nautique de Cannes.
My Issue, built for a repeat Moonen client, is the shipyard’s first “Explorer 114” yacht, and is the initial model in a series of long-range research-type vessels of various sizes designed by René van der Velden with naval architecture by Stolk Marimecs.
My Issue was built to MCA compliance and Lloyd’s Register classification including Ice-Class certification. My Issue is the highest-displacement yacht thus far launched by Moonen Shipyards, exceeding that of the 120-foot White Heaven III. The shipyard has under contract an even larger yacht, an all-new Moonen 124.
Two other recently launched Moonen yachts, the Moonen 84 Sofia and the Moonen 96 Clementine, are finalists in their categories for awards to be given by the International Super Yacht Society during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
