The world’s largest yacht, the 162.50 metre Eclipse, is nearing completion. Last week she left her dry-dock at the Blohm + Voss Shipyard for a short sea trial. We can report that the yacht is back at the shipyard again and will conduct final sea trials in May. After delivery, the Terence Disdale designed superyacht will reportedly set sail to Cape Town. The 86 metre superyacht will be moved to one of the outfitting sheds and is due for delivery in 2011. The hull of the C.2156 – 55m Picchiotti-Vitruvius motor-yacht was successfully transported by sea from the Perini Navi shipyard in Yildiz, Istanbul to the Beconcini Shipyard in La Spezia, Italy. Benetti recently unveiled plans for a full new range of superyachts, the Benetti Class. The new Benetti Class will consist of seven models ranging from 90ft to up to 164ft. Sunreef Yachts is pleased to announce that most of the aluminium work on the Sunreef 114 has been completed. The superyacht’s huge hull, 31 tons in weight and 114 feet (34.8 m) in length, was successfully turned and repositioned inside the shed.
