On Thursday February 4th 2010 shipyard Made, in Moerdijk, launched the completed hull and superstructure of a 44.9 metre Hakvoort superyacht. With over one year to go before the final launch, the hull will now be dragged to the shipyard in Monnickendam where she will be finished.
Hull number BN 246 is designed by Diana Yacht Design, who are also responsible for the naval architecture in cooperation with shipyards Made and Hakvoort. The interior of Diana Yacht Design project 408 is designed by Paris based interior designer Jacques Grange.
BN 246 can store 60,000 litres of fuel and 12,000 litres of water on board and achieve a range of 5,000 nm @ 10 knots. With a maximum speed of 14 knots she will be suitable for blue water cruising around the world.
