Monday, 3 January 2011
Last week Peri Yachts launched their flagship in Antalya, the Peri 41T Bibich Too. Following sea trials and final fit-out, the superyacht will be delivered to her owners later this month. Both the interior and exterior of the 41T were designed by the award-winning Turkish based design studio Scaro Design. Dixon Yacht Design from the United Kingdom engineered the yacht’s planing V-hull and High Modulus carried out all the scantling and structural calculations.
The Peri 41T has the elongated, aerodynamic grace of today’s most coveted high-end cars, and the same attention to graphically beautiful detailing. The 41T features spacious accommodation and extensive amenities for 12 guests, including a private owner’s deck with a large separate master stateroom with study and private terrace.
Bibich Too can accomodate up to 12(+2) guests in 6 staterooms and 9 crew in 4 double and a captain’s cabin. Powered by twin 3,450hp MTU 12V 4000 M93L engines, she has a top speed of 25 knots and a range of 1,250 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 19 knots.
Apart from two Peri 37 and two Peri 29 to be launched in Spring/Summer 2011, Peri Yachts has also already been commissioned to build the second 41T, which is due in June 2012.
The Research Vessel (RV) Pegaso just made her debut in Monaco and gave the world a glimpse into her Global Mission for Marine Conservation. Her oceanographic capabilities are impressive: 5-person Diver Lockout submarine, Ice Class notation, 10,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, wet/dry laboratory, and separate scientist quarters. Read More
