The Hakvoort shipyard in Holland has opened a new slipway earlier this month. The new slipway allows the yard to build superyachts of 58 x 10.60 metres. Nobiskrug GmbH and Messerschmitt Yachts GmbH are set to become partners. The scope of the cooperation encompasses engineering and construction of future Messerschmitt Yachts longer than 60 metres. The "MTT-Conqueror", available in a 70 metre and 90 metre version, is the first superyacht of this size designed by Messerschmitt Yachts. Read More

4000 Ton dry dock ready for 2010 at Derecktor

This spring Derecktor Shipyards will put its’ newly expanded dry dock to work. The dock will allow the yard to fully service vessels up to 4000 long tons, 122 meters in length, 25 meters in beam and 6 meters draft. This year, the shipyard is celebrating ninety years of continuous ownership by the same family. Purchased by the Hakvoort family in 1919, the original yard had been building vessels since the 1700s.
