We have been regularly following the 50.70 metre superyacht Tribu on her tour around the world and news has come in from Captain Mosca and his crew, having just crossed the Pacific. Leaving the Republic of Palau, Tribu cruised 5000 nautical miles in 20 days and arrived in Marina Taina, located five miles west of Papeete harbor, on 7th March. 
Superyacht Group – Great Barrier Reef’s (SYGGBR) recent visit to the annual Monaco Yacht Show has confirmed Cairns is developing a reputation throughout the world as a world-class superyacht destination with a world-class Marina and a comprehensive range of refit and repair facilities and services. 
After a fascinating 22 days Pacific crossing, starting from San Diego at the end of September, Captain Luca Mosca and his Crew finally arrived with Tribu in Koror, Republic of Palau. Captain Antonio Gerini has once again joined the yacht, and will take Trubi on a cruise throughout Micronesia and Melanesia. 
At the Monaco Yacht Show the SYT team had the pleasure of speaking to Michael Barnett of the Cairns Port Authority. Besides being the Manager Operations of the Cairns Port Authority, Michael also represents the Superyacht Group, Great Barrier Reef. The Cairns Marlin Marina is situated on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. 
The Maverick (ex Alexa S), one of Vripack’s famous Doggersbank Offshore designs, has recently completed an extraordinary voyage from Florida to Australia while towing their sport fishing vessel all the way.
