The Great Southern Route to be launched in September 2007 at the Monaco Yacht Show

Ocean Media is proud to announce GSR - The Great Southern Route - an innovative publication (and website) designed to encourage superyacht visitation from Europe and the USA to the Southern Hemisphere regions of Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific - an increasingly popular destination for world cruising and refit and refurbishment of superyachts.
Ocean Media, publishers of Ocean Magazine Australia will produce The Great Southern Route as a ring-bound, hard copy Almanac and website for launch at the 2007 Monaco Yacht Show for European yachts and at Fort Lauderdale 2007 for North America. It will be distributed on board thousands of superyachts and available online for captains and owners at www.greatsouthernroute.com.
A much needed and revolutionary maritime roadmap for superyachts considering a cruise to the south, The Great Southern Route will be a comprehensive guide to the voyage down under linking the Suez and Panama canals in what is surely one of the greatest long range voyages in the world.
The GSR will be specifically designed to encourage superyachts to visit Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. It will provide superyacht captains with the necessary information they require about the “stepping stone” ports and cruising areas encountered to and from our region - from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. The number of superyachts that have cruised through Asia to Australia, New Zealand or across the South Pacific has increased significantly with superyacht captains and owners increasingly considering this part of the world as an attractive destination.
Sanlorenzo has a reputation of offering an unrivalled level of customization, which results in the fact that there are never two Sanlorenzo Yachts that are the same. This has been clearly demonstrated by the unique five-stateroom SL104 planing yacht, that will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) this week. Read More
