In 2006 work started to convert a research vessel into private yacht by Platinum Yachts in the United Arab Emirates. Work on the project, code named Cosmos, stopped in 2009, and the yacht's faith at this moment is unknown to us. When I was in Dubai last week, on top of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, I spotted the yacht on the hard. Read More

Readers from Auckland have reported that Superyacht Weta, a 74.6 metre superyacht, has left the city, and has made her way to Ship Repair in Whangarei, the main centre of Northland, New Zealand. Crew Yacht Management has taken over the management of the Serena, a 27 metre Motor Sailer, built in 1983 by Benetti Sail Division, to a design by Lauren Giles. Since it was first launched, the yacht has always been privately used by her original owner. The yacht has now been purchased by a new owner, and will finally be available for charter. Read More

A few months ago, superyacht Malahne arrived at Pendennis for a major refit. A semi-submersible heavy lift vessel has carried the 1937 built yacht Malahne from Spain to Falmouth. The classic yacht was completely rebuilt in 1983 by Cantieri Navali Campanella S.p.A., and judging by this recent photo of her, she is undergoing a second transformation. Read More
