Joseph Artese Design has designed the new interior for the re-building of the 185’ M/V Alucia, the French built research vessel (formally R/V Nadir) which came fitted out with an A-Frame for launching and retrieving the three two-man submersibles. The rebuild is fully underway in Seattle and is expected to be fully operational and ready by February 2009. Read More

The Netherlands are well known for building high quality superyachts, but since last year we also have a specialized superyacht refit shipyard, Balk Shipyard in Urk. Although already established back in 1786 (!), it wasn’t until they moved from Elburg to Urk before they were noticed within the superyacht industry. Read More

In early September S.Y Adix returned to Pendennis for her 3rd major refit, the largest vessel to date at 64m to be lifted out using the 400 tonne travel hoist. On this occasion the yacht and her crew are undertaking a 6 month refit programme with Pendennis. Major work items include the repainting of her topsides and inner bullwarks. Read More
