Australian luxury motor yacht builder Oceanfast has launched the first of its new range of vessels - the 36 metre Eendracht, soon to be followed by a 48 metre currently under construction.
The vessel’s owner – Austal founder John Rothwell - hopes to spend several months each year onboard Eendracht after stepping down from the day-to-day running of the business in August after 20 years at the helm. John will continue to act as Non Executive Chairman with the company.
Searching for a well finished, practical vessel to suit his interest in long distance cruising, Mr Rothwell decided to utilise the word-class aluminium yacht building and engineering experience available in his own company – famous for award-winning motor yachts such as Aussie Rules.
Eendracht will soon commence charter operations based out of Cairns, Queensland following a seven week delivery voyage which includes several stops along Western Australia’s northern coastline.
