With her length of 145.70m El Horriya is not only one of the world’s largest yachts, but she is also one of the oldest yachts around. She was built by the British Samuda Brothers shipyard in 1865 to a design of Sir Oliver Lang. The Egyptian Presidential yacht was lengthened with 12m in 1872 and 1905 her paddle wheels were replaced by triple screws. El Horriya is based in Alexandria, Egypt.
