Proteksan-Turquoise Yacht signs contract for 50 metre superyacht

Good news from one of the leading shipyards in Turkey, Proteksan-Turquoise Yachts, as they have signed a contract for a new 49.90 metre motor yacht. Hull number NB 56 was signed on 10th August 2010; the project has been named Thunder by the shipyard.
Project Thunder will be powered by twin 820hp diesel engines which propel the superyacht up to a top speed of 15 knots. At her cruising speed of 14 knots she can cruise up to 3,000 nautical miles, while at 12 knots she can even cruise 4,500 nautical miles.
The superyacht has a volume of 604 gross tonnage and she sleeps 12 guests and up to 12 crew members.
The Research Vessel (RV) Pegaso just made her debut in Monaco and gave the world a glimpse into her Global Mission for Marine Conservation.
