Lürssen has made an offer to buy Blohm & Voss from ThyssenKrupp. Both companies, Blohm + Voss and Lürssen, look back on more than one hundred years of experience in German shipbuilding and have already successfully worked side by side on the construction of the Fregatte F 125 project for the German government.
By taking over Blohm + Voss, the family sees opportunities to develop the marine-, superyacht- and service and repair business, whilst preserving the values of both companies.
