Designer Tommaso Spadolini comments on new superyacht Aslec 4

The recently launched Aslec 4 is the fourth yacht that Tommaso Spadolini has designed for a good friend, who previousle owned 19, 24 and 32 metre yachts, designed by Spadolini. The 45 metre Aslec 4 is the families first steel displacement yacht.
In April 2009, Spadolini made these first sketches, which evolved into Aslec 4. In the fall of 2009 Tommaso Spadolini introduced his client to the Rossi Navi yard, who at that time just strated building Numptia, also designed by Spadoloni.
Right from the start, a good relationship was establish between the client and the Rossi brothers. Cutting of the first plates started in March 2010, and from then on its been full steam ahead.
Aslec 4 has a steel hull and a marine grade aluminum superstructure, and is equipped with twin 1300 hp Caterpillar 3508 C DITA/SWAC Diesel engines , allowing for a maximum speed of 16 knots and a half load cruising speed of 15 Knots.
