Refit concept for Khozam by Pastrovich Design
By Merijn de Waard
The 77.40 metre Khozam was built as a tug in Germany by Schichau-Unterwesser in a series of several vessels, including the luxury yacht Lone Ranger. For many years Khozam served as the support vessel to a Middle Eastern owned luxury yacht, but now she is listed for sale the Italian design firm Pastrovich Design has created a concept to turn Khozam into a luxury explorer superyacht.
Stefano Pastrovich explains to SuperYachtTimes.com, “The present state of Khozam is very basic, without any well defined interiors and exteriors. We have decided to “clean” the sheer line and to keep the main part of the superstructure that we thought were part of the history of the vessel: the funnel, the two amazing masts and the forward superstructure.”
“We have integrated the aft superstructure in order to suite with the present structure and the interior layout has been developed in a very flexible style for an easy life on board”, concludes Stefano.
Pastrovich Studio is also working on the refit of Khozam’s sistership Lone Ranger, however details can not be revealed yet.
