After being purchased by the owner in 2007, Koheilan, the 1974 model classic Benetti came to the Aegean Boatyard for the refit work in order to give her a more contemporary and finished interior look, as she was beginning to show her age.

The hull was in good condition however the owner wanted to change the white colour to dark blue. Epoxy based Jotun paint system was applied on the hull and superstructure.

The layout no longer suited modern requirements for a yacht of her size. So interiors were completely dismantled and reinsulated with rockwool. In order create a cosy atmosphere the boatyard used oak parquet on the floors, cherry parititions and furnitures with combination of Alcantara panels, mirrors. New A/C units were installed throughout the boat.

On the original maindeck, front of the bridge, there was a galley and dining room. However, according to the new design, the owner wanted to make use of the front dining room as a master bedroom and move the dining table into the salon on the maindeck.

The new master bedroom’s bed can be easily removed and this place can be easily returned to a meeting room. The accommodation deck is equipped with 2 double and 1 tipple guest cabins all with ensuite bathrooms.

Outside, the teak decks were repaired where necessary, hatches were replaced and an electric windlass was installed.

On the sundeck a large sun awning has been positioned with stainless steel supports. This area is dedicated for outside eating and lounging. The final result of this refit is that from bow to stern a completely new superyacht has been created- a classic yacht with a modern touch.
