Superyacht My Girl arrives at Oceania Marine Shipyard
Superyacht My Girl, the 49.7 metre Westport, built in 2007, has just arrived at the Oceania Marine yard in New Zealand, for routine maintenance, anti-fouling, minor paint works and to complete her 5 year ABS survey.
When we ask Jim Loynes of Oceania Marina about the extend of work, he explains: "The extent of this work will depend on what we find as we dismantle things and the views of the surveyor in charge".
Despite the yard's 50 year old history, Oceania Marine as it stands now has been in existence since 2009 and with continual improvements since then and some recent and imminent appointments,Oceaniamarine and Oceaniamarine Coatings are now better placed than ever to satisfy the needs of these visiting yachts and offer a really good alternative to them.
Jim concludes: "While in the case of superyacht My Girl, it is maintenance work we are doing, and are always available for, we also have the facilities here along with a highly skilled workforce available to undertake a huge range of refit projects, however large or small, and welcome all enquiries for the future, be that from yachts already in the southern hemisphere or from further afield who may be just planning that big trip and wondering where they can schedule their yard period along the way".
