The Baglietto Shipyard in La Spezia has announced that they have signed a contract with Italian superyacht designer Francesco Paszkowski to create Baglietto’s new styling. The new line of planing and displacement superyachts will be presented at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show.
In addition the designer will also work on the three Baglietto projects that the new owners have taken over from the previous ownership. These are a 44 metre planing motor yacht, and two displacement motor yachts of 46 metres and 53 metres in length, all with exterior design by Paszkowski.
The new line of superyachts will consist of a 58 metre steel/aluminium yacht, a 37 metre planing yacht and a 46 metre aluminium planing yacht.
“We are really happy about this agreement, which is meant to ensure continuity, but also represents the future of the Seagull brand", commented Baglietto's CEO Diego Deprati, "and Francesco Paskowski is undoubtedly the designer that can best represent our shipyard’s philosophy. We want our Owners, who love and identify themselves with our brand, to 'feel like at home' in a tradition which also means progress.”
Francesco Paszkowski, in turn, echoed Mr Deprati’s satisfaction: “I am delighted about Baglietto’s future plans. I am sure that the entrepreneurial spirit of the new ownership will allow the shipyard to express the brand's strong potential and the values it embodies. Besides completing current ongoing projects, we will offer the new Management our twenty-year experience with the shipyard and our firm's innovative approach, so as to define new projects and make sure Baglietto will maintain its key role in the mega-yacht sector."
